General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bacterial infection is commonly treated with antibiotics. Flagyl is the preferred antibiotic to treat vaginitis. I would suggest taking the medication.

If the symptoms continue you can do a swab culture test to precisely confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
