Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Bacteria skin infections are common and always respond well to systemic antibiotics and topical antiseptics. However, some resistant cases may be seen and in such cases, an antibiotic sensitivity test will be very useful. Recurrence however is different from resistance as you may still have an infection after treatment when in contact with the germ causing it.In most cases too, bacteria skin infection may be misdiagnosed. There are other skin infections caused by fungi that may look like bacteria skin infection. In such cases, a skin biopsy will be very useful.
Pain and leakage from the belly button is likely caused by an infection.I will rather suggest you see your Doctor or a Dermatologist for examination as it may be related to the same skin infection you have been struggling with.Antibiotics if needed should be well selected and bathing with an antiseptic solution like cyteal may be helpful.I will also advise you see a Dermatologist given the long duration of the skin problem.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
