Suggest Treatment For Balancing Issues And Feeling Of Fluid In The Ear
Hi Doc I have had this fluid I can feel swoosh around in my ears. I am very unstable and off balance. This started in 2003 and I have been to ENT Specialists, Physicians and Neurologists. But they all say it s labyrinth or middle ear related. They give me antibiotics and sera and it gets suppressed for a while but comes back again. I am off balance daily. I do have a good day now and again but it s rare. I cannot look left to right without feeling like I m falling. Terrible migraines as well. Lights also make me go off balance. Please help
The balancing issues with feeling of fluid in the ear do indicate issues with labyrinth or cochlea apparatus of the inner ear. When the ENT consultation is carried out, I suppose OPD based tests of Weber and Rinne's test are performed. Next step comes about the audiometry as well as MRI of the middle and inner ear for the final diagnosis and cure accordingly. If any of your reports are available with you, kindly share with me during follow up period, so that better guidelines can be figured out ahead.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
