Hi.. My son s christian xray reading said that there is a patch of parenchymal infiltration in the left lung base posterior segment. And the impression reads left basal pneumonitis. What does it MEAN and What is the cure? My son is 9 years old and weighs 20kls
The symptoms of your son seem to be related to pneumonia. I suggest controlling the fever with aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as acetaminophen.
Give him to drink plenty of fluids to help loosen secretions and bring up phlegm. Antibiotics may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
