hello, i am 32 years old, healthy and i do regular exercise. problem is now when i drink alcohol i awake and ive wet the bed. only after alcohol - i know the answer is do not drink so much but maybe there is an underlying factor as this does not happen to my friends ?
Ok, this is common in people who drink a LOT of alcohol to the point where they pass out, not 1-3 drinks. And, in this context, unable to get out of bed and the alcohol also fills up the bladder. So, an underlying factor most likely is alcoholism. That's bad.
Frankly, the other possibilities sound worse but aren't. Alcohol triggering a seizure and causing bed wetting is controllable. Having an underlying bladder and urethral problem contributing to bed wetting is really common in women and really rare in non-elderly males and also controllable (easily). Likewise a minor infection in the bladder/urinary tract potentially bad if untreated. Rare to occur without other signs of being infected and easily treated. Simple tests for urinary tract problems... .urinalysis.. runs about 20 bucks.
