i have been belching with food content regularly, ihave use sevral drugs like andrew liver salt, mist meg and genosine but it haven't stop and its each time i eat it start happpening,i visited hospital the doctor gave me antibatoics but its didn't stop. pls help me
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Belching after food indicates that you have lax lower esophageal sphincter and have GERD. The medicines like Andrew Liver salt, Mist Meg would not help nor the antibiotics. Hence I would advise you the following: First of all go for an upper GI endoscopy and Barium swallow studies to get the correct diagnosis. Get started on a PPI like Pantoprazole. Domperidone or such motility regulator. Avoid all the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems. Reduce stress and anxiety as these can enhance the problems too much. Stop alcohol, tobacco in any form, oily and salty food.
