Suggest Treatment For Bilateral Disc Protrusion And Osteophytes
I just got my findings today,. endplate irregularities at T7-8. conus terminates normally at T12-L1 level. Bilateral posterolaterally projecting disc protrusions and possible osteophytes slightly impinge upon the right and left ventral aspect of cord. is this long term?, if so what type of medications should my doctor talk to me about. what treatments are there my doctor was to busy to help me today.
The MRI shows osteophytes which are impinging upon the nerve roots and spinal cord. The compression of the nerve roots can cause symptoms in the area of distribution of the nerves. Osteophytes are age related degenerative changes which occur in skeletal system. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and thus management.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
