Suggest Treatment For Bilateral Mastoid Air Cell Opacification

I have been having headaches, dizziness and other issues, my doctor sent me for a CT scan and the results said I have bilateral mastoid air cell opacification. I was prescribed clindamycin hcl 300 mg 2 times a day for 10 days. She said if this does not fix next step is to go to an ENT... At what point should the headaches be gone or if they are not gone by a certain point should I let my doctor know to get the referral to the ENT?

Hi,

You can wait for a week and if no relief get that ENT opinion. This could be sinusitis and it is really painful in acute stage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
