Hi,
The presence of black or dark particles in the urine is usually due to passage of sediments in the urine. These sediments are generally remnants of cells in
the urinary tract, that fall off and get carried along with the urine. These sediments may contain protein, blood or bacteria. Also, urinary stones may give rise to sediments and passage of particles.
Dehydration, may be another cause, which may give rise to more formation of sediments.
Hence the treatment will depend on the cause. However, adequate fluid intake & treatment of any
urinary tract infection may have to be undertaken on priority. If the symptoms do not subside by these measures, specific test like examination of urine for presence of
proteins, blood, bacteria or crystals, some times culture of urine as well as imaging for diagnosis of
urinary calculi may have to be done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
