Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my niece was born at 30/40 gestation. She had a couple of small bleeds which has left cysts in her brain. There is a question as to whether she has CP but has now developed pubic hair. Is this all related. She is now 4/12 old (corrected) smiles and has found her hands. So other than being a little stiff is developing quite well. She is slow to feed however.
As per my clinical experience, as there is bleeding in the cyst in brain, suggests possible secondary bleed from various reasons as: - Use of aspirin - Vitamin K deficiency - Alterations in the cerebro-spinal fluid pressure characteristics - Congenital malformations with secondary effects or sequence
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
