Suggest Treatment For Bleeding Epidermoid Cyst On Back
I have an epidermoid cyst on my back. The cyst ruptured and all that is left of it is clear or light yellowish fluid and does not smell infected, however...I cannot get the thing to stop bleeding. Its on my back and causing a mess to all my clothes. Can the doctor do anything about it?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern about bleeding epidermoid cyst after its rupture. The bleeding might be continuous because there might be rupture of an artery or vein associated with it. You need to visit a Surgeon and get treated as the contents can be cleared and the wound might need suturing. you need to get the wound dressing done every alternate day. Once the contents are cleared and the wound is sutured, it takes about a week to heel completely. Hope the information provided is useful. All the best and wish you speedy recovery.
