Suggest Treatment For Bleeding From Ears Of A Child

Do ear canal blood blisters continually bleed? My son (5) is bleeding out of his right ear and has been running a 103.1 fever... He isn t acting like himself... Is there anything I can do to help calm him and myself until I can get him to the ENT tomorrow?

Hello,

Bleeding from the ear is not normal, and with a high fever like 103.1, I would take him to the ER as soon as possible so that a doctor (it doesn't need to be an ENT but eventually he probably should be seen by an ENT) can take a look and possibly start him on antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
