Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Two summers ago I was working landscaping and one of my duties was weed eating. One day I accidently got my trimmer in some gravel and it shot the gravel towards my face. one rock shot up my right nostrile but didnt imeadetly bleed, but it did hurt well every since then I periodicallly get nose bleeds. mostly in my right nostrile but sometimes both nostils bleed. its normally a typical looking nose bleed but sometime the blood comes out almost in clotty clumps. I found a quarter inch gash way up in my right nostil but when I went to show my doctor, she said she couldnt see anything and that the rock probably passed and is gone now and I think the fact that I waited almost two years to say anything through her a little off too. I mean when explainning my story.
The nosebleed is usually related to the trauma of the blood vessels inside the nose. I suggest using saline nasal spray to flush the lining of the nose. If the bleeding continue and is sever you should see an ENT specialist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
