Suggest Treatment For Bleeding Ulcer And Stomach Pain

I had a bleeding ulcer in Oct/2015 and have taken protonix twice daily. About 3 weeks ago I stopped taking it as gives me gas and thought I should be healed now. I am now experiencing terrible pain in upper stomach by my rib cage area. I am thinking I should restart the protonix and want to know how long it will take to get back in my system to help my stomach pain. What are you suggestions?

Hello,

Treating the risk factor is important to heal the ulcers. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for two weeks. Get it done Upper GI endoscopy and follow up with monthly.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol, avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Avoid stress-related problems.

Eat green leafy vegetables twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
