Suggest Treatment For Blister Like Sores On Fingers And Hands

I m getting these little blister like sores on my fingers and hands but they look like they re already popped. They re little circles but not raised, just already cut in the middle. they are very small, like the tip of a ball point pen in clusters or alone. Is it just having dry skin?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are suffering from blister like sores on the fingers and hands. Your symptoms are indicative of scabies. Blistering on the hands can be caused due to friction, irritation, infection, or other underlying conditions. Blisters on your hands may be painful and uncomfortable. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a dermatologist, you may be required to do a patch test to identify allergen.

You will be treated with antihistamines, you can apply ointment hydrocortisone on the affected parts. If scabies is detected, you should apply Ascabiol lotion on the affected parts, leave it for 25-30 minutes and then take bath. The discomfort and symptoms will get reduced and you will feel better.

In case the blisters come again, you should re-treat it in the same manner. Be careful while applying ascabiol lotion, it should not enter the mouth, eyes, inside nose, etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
