Suggest Treatment For Bloating After Pacemaker Placement
My friend just got a pacemaker recently and is now retaining fluids...feeling very bloated. he says he has gained 30 pounds in just 3 weeks and it seems to be in the gut area. What should he do? He has an appt with cardiologist monday but i am worried about him...he is only 52 and was just diagnosed with degenerative lung disease as well as this heart issue. Is he in emergency situation? YYYY@YYYY

Please note that retention of fluids is a feature of heart disease. Do not worry, his cardiologist will prescribe some diuretic and he will be fine. Just ask him to decrease salt intake.
