Hello,

Fertility treatment is commonly done for both the partners. When the wife undergoes certain tests, the husband also needs to get few tests done. When you are planning for a baby and are doing fertility treatment both of you should stay together. Blocked fallopian tube can be diagnosed with the help of Hysterosalpingography (HSG). HSG is done within the first half of your menstrual cycle. Side effects are rare, but false positive results are possible.

If HSG does not help in definitive diagnosis your treating doctor may recommend laparoscopy for further evaluation. If the doctor finds a blockage during the procedure, they might remove it, if possible. Sometimes, fallopian tubes are blocked by large amounts of scar tissue or adhesions, treatment to remove the blockages may not be possible. Yes, after treatment of blocked fallopian tubes, pregnancy is possible. Get all infertility tests (ovulation testing, hormone test, genetic test, ovarian reserve testing, etc) done. Get your partner, seminal analysis and all other tests done. Get treated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
