Suggest Treatment For Blocked Ear Along With Pain

Hi, I had a blocked ear yesterday at work after wearing ear plugs, my ear felt blocked so I held my nose and blew to try and unblock my ear, straight away I had a sharp pain radiate up the inside of my ear, I went to the doctor because the pain was unbearable, he said I had a bad ear infection, which I received antibiotics, my question is what caused the pain

Hi. Sorry to hear about your problem.
So far as your question is concerned, you probably have already given the answer yourself.
It is an air infection that has caused the symptoms of heaviness and pain in the ears.
The pain eggravated on forceful exertion(blowing).
You have already taken a prescription. All you need to do is to Complete the short course of antibiotics and pain killers as prescribed. You will be fine soon. Wishing you the best of health.
