General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your son seems to have sinus invlvement(can be allergic & possibly superimposed infection). Severe allergy & infection in respiratory passage can cause inflammation of bronchi causing bronchitis.
He has been given medication for releasing bronchitis, which gives breathing trouble, though he may not be having asthma he needs the medicine temporarily.
Please take him to a chest physician &have specific medication torelieve him as well as prevent the problem to be chronic.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
