Suggest Treatment For Blood In Urine With Lower Back Pain
I have had blood in my urine but it wasn t a UTI. Went to a Urologist, had a CT scan and then a bladder scope, all checked out fine. However, no explanation of blood in my urine, may have passed kidney stones, no confirmation. Two weeks later, my lower abdomen is sore and today my lower back ( all on the right side) started hurting, tearful pain. What type of doctor should I go see? I also saw my Gynocoloogist, I seemed to be fine as well but I know I am not. I have a high tolerance for pain and I can say this is bringing tearsvto my eyes now. Don t know what to do next
Hello and welcome to HCM, Blood in urine is seen in case of stone in the urinary tract, injury to urinary tract, kidney disease etc. Urinary tract infection (UTI) is often accompanied by lower back pain. Thus, the lower backache can be due to UTI, Other disorders like pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) can also cause lower abdominal pain. You need to consult a gynecologist for clinical assessment to look for evidence of PID and thus plan treatment.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
