I am worried about my son. He has some blood in his urine. He went to the health clinic today at his university. They tested for UTI. He does not have one. They are running more tests on the urine, but also recommended a urologist. He has to wait 2 weeks for an appointment with them. Should I try somewhere else where he can get in earlier? He had symptoms a week ago, just cloudy dark urine, it went away so he did not get checked. It came back yesterday so he got checked.
The blood in the urine could be due to urinary tract infection, stone in the urinary tract or any other lesion. To reach up to exact cause urine routine microscopic examination report and ultrasonography pelvis and abdomen has to be done for primary work up. Give lots of water and fruit juice to him until he gets investigated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
