Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has what looks like bloody diarrhea and he has been eating a lot of spicy foods and plus he was on two different antibiotics and plus a probiotic named culturell. Well he has not taken that probiotic in about three days. Now after we just went out to eat and had a lot of spicy foods when we came home he was pooping what looks like bloody diarrhea but its mostly blood. What is going on with him?
Hi...Can understand your concern..As per your query about bloody diarrhoea in your husband is suggesting recurrent infection in GIT.He may not have completed the doses of antibiotics which was prescribed earlier..He need to take antibiotics like norfloxacin and tinidazole combination along with a probiotic like bifilac after consulting a physician...Also if it doesn't seems to work a stool culture and senstivity test is needed..I also suggest you to avoid eating outside and take home made easy digesting food like khichadi and fruits like banana etc.Maintain hydration by taking plenty of liquids.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
