Hello,
Your father is very young but the symptoms he is suffering from are indicative of developing
Peripheral Neuropathy.
Your father needs a complete medical check up, clinical examination by a GP followed by Blood tests, Nerve Conduction tests, Nerve Biopsy & Imaging tests (CT, X-Ray, MRI, EEG).
Nerve weakness or damage to the nerves commonly causes numbness, temporary loss of vision is indicative of
Optic Neuropathy, when the
optic nerve gets weak or damaged.
Other medical conditions that cause numbness of legs or knee are Arthritis,
Radiculitis,
Diabetic Neuropathy,
Nerve compression syndrome, acute injury to the knee cap, injuries/fracture, etc.
These will be detected with a complete medical check-up. His treatment will depend on the severity of the pathology detected. He can take
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) & vitamin B6, B12, folic acid supplements for relieve.
Give him home made nutritious food, help him stay well hydrated(give him ORS, soups, juice, water). Moderate walking & adequate rest are effective. Avoid addictions if any.
Stay connected with your treating doctor & health care provider. Get treated at the earliest. Neglect will cause worsening of the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
