General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the black eye is part of hematoma formation following facial injury. The blurring of vision is secondary to the possible edema over the cornea or conjunctiva most likely. Primary concern is to apply ice over eye 5 minutes each 5-6 times a day and visit tomorrow morning an Ophthalmologist , there is no need to visit to an ER and pay extra dollars.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
