Hi..my daughter is away at college and for the last week on and off has gotten body aches and chills and had a weird feeling and has passed out a few times....the aches were bad..:so much that she couldnt do much but cry...no fever but says that when she takes advil it helps with aches ..when she eats feels better for like an hour then starts too get achey again....and has occasional tightness in chest....went to hospital and they took blood ,urine test, nothing was irregular but white blood count was up....they said she had flu....does this sound right to you
As per your history, it may be due to viral infection.
For further assessment, you may require complete hemogram, urine analysis, peripheral smear for malaria parasite, dengue NS 1 after physician consultation.
Till then for fever, you can take tablet acetaminophen. Keep your self hydrated. Treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.
You may require antibiotics like cefixime after consultation.
