Suggest Treatment For Body Aches, Chills And Fever

I am a 66 y o female who had both pneumonia vaccinations this summer and the flu shot 4 weeks ago. I have had body aches, chills and low grade fever (around 100) for five days. Have been alternating Tylenol and Motrin to treat. Have had eye irritation but no redness or yellowing. Only other symptom is an intermittent cough that I only have had for 36 hours. Not an outdoor person and did not get a tick bite or noted rash. I am very sensitive to mosquito bites and do get more redness than most when bitten (last 3 weeks ago). I live in SE VA.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
