Suggest Treatment For Body Tremors And Walking Difficulty In A Diabetic

My 85 yr old father with diabetes is shaky and unable to walk. Sugar is under control normally but high right now. His equilibrium is off and every time he stands his legs start shaking. He has been sleeping most of the day and not getting response from his doctor on whether or not er visit is necessary right now. We are afraid to just take him and then not be able to get him home if released.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

IF your father's sugar is high right now, take insulin injection as per dosage given to you immediately. Check blood sugar on accucheck machine. Maintain record of blood sugar 2 hourly for 24 hours. Share this record with your physician. He will advise you for further management.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pramod Kokare, General & Family Physician
