Suggest Treatment For Boil Between Anus And Scrotum

I am 68.I have a boil between anus and scrotum.Doctor prescribed some antibiotics in injection. I experience acute pain and the so called boil is taking an elliptical shape.Had fever which seems to go away but not the pain.Need I visit specialists?Three days experience.

Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. If the boil you have is not responding to antibiotics you might need incision and drainage of it. A consultation with a general surgeon is well appreciated for this. Also check your blood sugar levels. Swab from the boil should be send for culture and sensitivity and change antibiotic accordingly also. Taking vitamin C also will be helpful for fast healing.
