Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have these boils on cleavage. Initially it started with some bump sort of thing on my cleavage and neck.. Some white paste n sometimes blood n puss oozes out of it.. Also has some black thing is on top of it. Sometimes when I try to pop it n squeeze it, a gelly round blood comes out. Its been around several yrs now.. I dont know wat to do!! Please help me
Based on the symptoms you have described, it sounds like you have an infection over the boils or an infection of the skin. Anytime, someone has a cut over the skin, it is possible for the bacteria to enter the skin. This can cause an infection to start as the number of bacteria increase in the blood.
The next best step is to take the pus to confirm the bacteria. Once confirmed, the bacteria and which antibiotics it is susceptible to can be discovered. The doctor would usually then prescribe the right doses to get to the treatment.
In most cases, the treatment is of Amoxicillin and I usually use this for my patients. Along with this, cleaning the wound and the boils would help as well. A surgeon can help with incision and drainage for this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
