General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Boils in the genital area (pubic area) may be due to folliculitis. Most of the time, no treatment is needed but in some cases, local antibiotic ointment may be tried 3 times a day. Try to not press or pop the boils as this may cause the infection to spread. You also need to make sure your sugar levels are well controlled as diabetes may adversely affect the immune system and response to infection.

If you do not notice any improvement in a week or you notice any worsening, please see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,

Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
