My 2 years old daughter is suffering from brain tb from last 2 months.nw she is behaving like a comma patient.she is nt able to speak,hear and i think to watch also.doctors r saying that brain surgery is the last solution for her.a rubber tube wil be placed inside her brain to her to her uretrus,to remove the water from her brain.and that rubber tube wil be fixed in her body permanently.please rep me is this disease is curable without such type of a surgery.pls help...
The condition that you are talking about has serious consequences for the patient, and especially so for a child. I am really sorry, but the shunt surgery is extremely needed at this point to prevent further damage to the brain. As to her future outcome, no one can say, because over time, TB of the brain can be followed by a lot of improvement; or, the child may remain bed-ridden for a long time. Please be courageous and do not delay the shunt surgery any longer.
