Suggest Treatment For Breast Cancer When Patient Is Weak For Chemotherapy
yes, my mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer. the cyst is extremly large and she is to weak for chemo. I would like to know if it is possible to remove it? it has made the lung behind it collapse and fluid is very much a problem. The doctor basically sent us home for her to die. Need some opinions!
hi Sorry to hear your light It appears that she is in very advanced stage, with probably spread to lung. Not sure from details provide if any hormonal status is available on biopsy.
Considering her general status (as per the case) surgery wont be possible. If spread to lung is there then surgery is all the more not indicated.
I believe it is best to support her with symptom relief. which may include oxygen supplementation. pain relief, removing of fluid from lung if there is a collection which can be removed.
You can contact a Palliative care expert for help at home. in most cases things can be arranged at home to avoid transportation trouble to patient
good luck
