Suggest Treatment For Breathing Difficulty When Suffering From Pleurisy
Hello I have been diagnosed with pleurisy and have been to the ER recently. The doc prescribed anti inflammatory meds and I also take two 800 mg IBprofen to help with the pain but I m still having trouble breathing. Is there anything else I can do to relieve my symptoms? I have been feeling this pain for over three days and it doesn t seem to be getting better. The pain keeps shooting to my L side chest, L side shoulder, and L side neck. Thank you!
If the pain does not get subside by analgesics, then I will suggest you to get a nerve block in the intercostal area. That will relieve you of the pain permanently. Please visit a pain specialist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Deepak Sundriyal, Oncologist
