Suggest Treatment For Broken Femur Bone In Left Leg

my femur bone in my left leg broke about two months ago, and now I have a rod and 2 screws in my left leg, I am trying to walk with a cane, but my fear is the side effects of these foreign objects in my body, and will me leg be ever the same? thank you
