Suggest Treatment For Broken Forearm

Hi, around 10 years ago I broke my left forearm, it was a complete snap. During the surgery the doctors cut open the part where my bones snapped and has been stuck with a 2 inch scar since. 2 weeks ago I noticed when I do curls that area will swell which didnt happen before. Also now I have rashes over the scar. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
It may indicate certain late complications of fracture surgery and first step would be to do xrays or MRI scan to see if there is pseudoarhrosis or specific healing disorder or refracture at this point. Also, physical therapy may be required to strengthen your arm muscles and tendons. You should have hondroitin supplements to prevent arthrosis of bone parts around the fracture site.
I hope I have answered you query
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
