General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Yes. I agree. It is essential to know basic cause as well as extent of organ involvement, for relief of symptoms so as to lead a normal life. You should consult a chest specialist. Get yourself detailed physical examination followed by tests like- allergy screening, CBC, X-ray chest. and whatever specific tests doctor advises.
You would be advised specific medications for your health. As oral bronchodilator / antibiotic / histamine antagonists like Montelukast, nasal inhalers as per need and allergy treatment like desensitization of allergens as the the test results indicate.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
