Suggest Treatment For Brown Vaginal Spotting Post A Miscarriage
Had a missed miscarriage at 6 weeks 2 days. Had a d&c at 13 weeks. It has been 13 days since my d&c and was told by a radiologist I had a thick endometrial lining along with pain and very minimal light brown spotting. Is this normal? I have a follow up but I ve been looking for text book explanations of what this can mean.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Having intermittent spotting and brown discharge post abortion or miscarrige can be considered as normal. Some of the remnant tissues retained will find its way out gradually by means of such brown discharge. Also such episodes might continue for 6 to 8 weeks until the hormone levels and lining of the uterus stabilizes, during which time the periods also would get regularized. Kindly seek medical attention promptly if such symptoms becomes more frequent and bothersome. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
