Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Bruise On The Ankle When Diagnosed With Cellulitis
I have a circular bruise looking spot on both feet up near ankle. They look exactly the same. The center does not seem bruised it is fine. I was bit on toe by something may 2nd and then got cellulitis on my baby toe. I did have two ten day rounds of antibiotics. The toe looks much better but not completely healed. But now on both feet I have gotten these circular bruised marks larger than a quarter size.
Because you are having bruises on both legs, including even the healthy leg, it is important to have some tests to try to identify the cause of these bruises. Your doctor may do some blood tests such as CBC, Platelet count, ERS, PTT, APTT, bleeding time, hemorrhage time, etc.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
