Suggest Treatment For Bruise On The Forehead After An Accident
Hi my son 2yrs old fell and hurt his forehead on concrete floor about 6/8 weeks ago he had bruising for about 2 weeks and now has a dent right down the middle sort of like ridged, he seemed OK afterward but has not had much of an appetite for about 6 weeks, I m really worried as he is now slightly unwell with temperature, or am I just a neurotic mother? Noted the history about your 2 year old son falling on concrete 6-8 weeks ago and has developed a dent on forehead, he has not much appetite for 6 weeks and slightly unwell with fever.
Mother surely are most important observers and thus your observations can not be wrong.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult a PEdiatrician first for clinical evaluation and relevant investigations so that a proper diagnosis can be done and treatment started according to the cause found.
As for the dent on forehead, this can most probably an organized hematoma which is not much treatable or can be just edema that has not settled or a scar that will improve with time/age and can be treated well.
