Suggest Treatment For Bruised Swelling Around Cheekbone And Eye After Injury

I was hit on my cheek bone by a cricket bat seven months ago(Nov 26th 2014).I developed black eye and swelling. Later the black eye went but has left a little darker tone around eye. My first question is what should I do to help even the tone. Secondly the swelling is not there but one cheek bone has this little uneven bump. Doctor told me it s the tissue. So will it go and by when? Thirdly the eye under which I was hit seems smaller in size a bit. Is it possible that the eye size changes. Doc says no damage done to eye nerves or anything. Please guide I am worried.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello welcome to HCM. first stop worrying. Yourself informing that it has reduced partially. Vision is normal. You can close and open your eyes. So no nerve of eye is damaged. You can move your jaw. So there is no fracture. If any injury occurs in face, swelling will be severe because of the structure. healing time will vary. Now it is nearing an year for this much reduction in swelling. Another 8- 10 months, you will be perfectly normal as there is no permanent damage. Take care.
