Suggest Treatment For Bruising And Swelling On Bridge Of Nose
My 3 year old bumped her nose over a month ago now. The next day the bridge of her nose was swollen mo bruising, this stayed like this for a few weeks and a small bump apeared on one side it went down for a few weeks but has now come back again, i have seen 2 different doctors one said it was a blood clot the other just recently said cyst. What would the treatment for a cyst be?
The bump on your kid's face can be any of the following: 1) Dermoid cyst 2) Nasal polyps 3) Vascular malformations 4) Congenital malformation
For all of the above MRI scan is necessary to know the extent of cyst and it's connectivity with intracranial structures. Treatment depends upon the type of cyst. 1) Medical treatment includes nasal decongestants, nasal and oral steroids, immunotherapy etc. 2) Surgical therapy includes removal of cyst.
So, your child needs MRI scan to know the extent of tumor and it's vascularity. Please do consult an otorhinolaryngologist for a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
