Suggest Treatment For Bubble Below Thumb Nail After Injury
I slammed a car door on my thumb nail about a month ago and it started getting air bubbles under the nail I think. And here s a little white spot that s under now too that just showed up today and was wondering if this nail has any chance to grow back normally cause so far it looks like it may be growing back weird and it s not straight and the cuticles are all gone
Little white spot under the nail is known as leukonychia that is usually caused by trauma to the nail bed or air bubble under the nail. It grows out as the nail naturally grows out over time. This little white spot or leukonychia that has been caused by trauma will go away in time on its own without any medical own. But if you have any concerns over little white spot on your thumb nail or if you notice any abnormality, then your doctor should be required to examine and treat it carefully. Otherwise, leukonychia due to trauma, is a harmless condition, may completely resolve over a few months.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
