Suggest Treatment For Bulge In Stomach And Nausea

Hello, I have a bulge in my stomach that does not go away when I try to suck in my stomach, I have an app that will record fetal heartbeat because I was curious and the heartbeat is always 160-180. I have not had a missed period. I have been nauseated but that could be related to my colitis. Pregnancy test say negative. Any suggestions on what the bulge/heartbeat could be?

Hi,

Fetal heart sounds with negative pregnancy test and not missing a period goes in opposite direction. I would advise you to get an ultrasound done to confirm the pregnancy which also would give some idea of the bulge. Nausea is not a very specific symptom which can relate to a condition however you can take treatment for it once you rule out the pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
