General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The numbness would occur if there is any compression of the spinal cords or any of the other nerves in the spine.
This can cause numbness as well as other symptoms of neuropathy- burning, tingling, sharp discomfort etc

It would be best to speak to your neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon to find out the best treatment plan because this would depend on the exact nature of the fracture and also on the impact of the disc on any surrounding nerves.

I hope this helps
