Doctor, I am 50 years old. I am diagonized with a bulky uterus measuring 8.6 cm longitudianally, 4.8 cm anteroposteriorly and 6.0 cm transversely at the level of fundus with normal outline and echodensity. I also have a smoothly outlined, soft-tissue mass of heterogenous echodensity in the left parauterine region. The mass measuring 47x41x35 mm. Is this a serious problem? Is surgery the better option (removal of uterus) or medication will treat the problem? Please advise. Thank you.
