Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a lump behind the ear seems to be a swollen and inflamed post auricular lymph node that can occur secondary to infection..
Other causes of lump behind the ear can be an abscess, a Sebaceous cyst, lipoma or a boil..

You need not to worry as all the conditions are treatable..
You can consult a General Physician and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly...
In case case if it is a lymph node, boil or an abscess antibiotics and painkillers can help..

In case of lipoma, Sebaceous cyst surgical removal can be advised..

As if now you can take Tylenol or Ibuprofen for pain relief and can apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the lump..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
