Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your symptoms it can be a
MUCOCELE which occurs commonly due to destruction of the ducts of minor salivary glands leading to spilling of mucus into the soft tissues in that area leading to formation of a bump.
It may also occur if salivary gland ducts get obstructed.
On inside of lower lip it can occur due to lip biting habit or any trauma to that area causing disruption to the salivary gland ducts.
I would suggest you consult an ORAL PATHOLOGIST and if not available you can also consult an ORAL SURGEON to get evaluated for the exact cause of the bump.
Some mucocele does not need to be treated and they rupture themselves and the lesion heals itself..
At times a corticosteroid cream can help in regressing the mucocele.
In some cases the mucocele becomes chronic and needs surgical removal..
Now a days few conservative and non invasive techniques like
LASER are available to remove the mucocele , but in case of large cysts surgical removal is to be done..
A homely remedy can be tried. Doing gargles with saturated salt water say one big tablespoon in one glass water 4 to 5 times a day may help in regressing the cyst..
Hope your query is solved..
Thanks and regards..
