General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bumps at the back of the throat are commonly throat ulcers that are usually caused by untreated respiratory infections or by disorders of the tonsils / adenoids or pharyngitis. You are suggested to rinse your mouth and gargle your throat with salt water 3-4 times a day. Take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin or Doxycycline for 5 days. To reduce pain and inflammation you can take analgesics and NSAIDS (Acetaminophen or Naproxen, one SOS when required).

Take semi solid food that is soft in texture like oats meal, porridge, custard, etc. Give voice rest. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT to detect if the tonsils are swollen, inflamed & need surgery. Get sputum, swab and X-ray, MRI / CT done if needed. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
