Suggest Treatment For Bumps On Arms, Legs, Chest And Back
hi i am 20 years old and im currently 26 weeks pregnant and for a past 3 weeks ive had these bug bite type bumps on my arms, legs, chest, and back they itch really badly and in some spots they have turned into a rash sort of itch i just want to know if this is normal or should i go to the hospital
Since you are presently 26 weeks pregnant and are having discomfort due to bug bite, you should take care of your hygiene. Do not share your toiletries with anyone. Take showers and get your clothes washed in Savlon / Dettol or warm water. You should wear soft cotton clothes. You can apply calamine lotion in the area affected. Soframycin ointment also helps to ease discomfort.
If the itching is resistant then you can apply a thin layer of hydrocortisone ointment only in the area affected (legs, chest, back). Since you are very young and pregnant, take care of yourself. Do not take medicines without consultation. Stay well hydrated and take home made nutritious food.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
