Suggest Treatment For Bumps On The Hands

I have itchy small bumps on my hands, down one arm and down one leg. They dry up and then scale off. And then they leave white, kind of unpigmented splotches. Eventually they go away. My dermatologist wants to see these in progress but she is out of town.

Hello,

Your details and concerns have been carefully evaluated and I think that all that you have is fragile;e capillaries. capillaries are the tiny blood vessels that carry blood inside them and have very thin walls.

It is due to some trivial trauma that these capillaries get damaged and the blood leaks out from them.

Most of these normally disappear in due course but as you said some of them don't go away as soon as others.

It seems to be due to heavy amount of debris which is to be lifted and carried away from that site by the cells of the defensive system of the body like macrophages.

For such patients, I simply reassure and advise them to get Bleeding Time and Clotting Time trests done to rule out any abnormality in the blood. Generally, their reports are fine but this clears any doubts about the condition.

To aid clearing up, one might use a preparation called Thrombophob.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
